Most of West Seattle is Neighborhood Residential, with Neighborhood Commercial nodes at the Admiral, Alaska, and Morgan junctions along California Ave SW. The Alaska Junction is the largest, where mixed-use apartment blocks have grown around the commercial core.
RapidRide C and H connect the peninsula to downtown, and the West Seattle Link Extension is planned to add stations at Delridge, Avalon, and the Alaska Junction — with station-area rezoning part of the city’s ongoing 2026 planning work. Lincoln Park and Alki Beach frame the peninsula’s shoreline.
